Mcleod Ganj or little Lhasa
I can't tell whether the Teenage Mutant Turtles are dubbed in Hindi, Tibetan or Punjabi but it's an improvement on the English darts on Thai tv. India looks so much cleaner on its tv ads.
Today was a free day for us and a Tibetan holiday. I checked out a few Buddhist temples, roamed around and had a traditional Tibetan hot herbal oil massage. It felt great and I slid out of there like a greased piggy. I witnessed what they call an "Indian traffic jam", cows blocking the road. This particular longhorn was fighting a vegetable vendor for a bunch of spinach while cars were blocked and honking in all directions. Everyone was cheering for one or the other until the vendor wrested the spinach from the bucking cow and it wandered over to the main square. It was awesome.
Here's a little article about McLeod Ganj http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/McLeodganj-food-for-the-body-and-soul/articleshow/16309545.cms
The photo was taken in the temple of the Norbulingka Institute.
