Ko Samet

I am on the beach island of Ko Samet. When we arrived the nice tusked lady in the photo offered me a welcome cocktail and that's all I remember of last night. I think there may have been fire twirling.

Today we are revelling in sun and sand and fruit based cocktails and dessert rotis and unusually flavoured potato chips. Our guesthouse is a little alley of relentlessly cheery tiled rooms. I picked the room with the Timkerbell bedspread with mushrooms and bunnies painted on the bathroom door.

This is so much nicer than Bangkok
