Going On the Go

For years I have raved about my PStyles http://www.thepstyle.com. They are those plastic gadgets that let women pee standing up without having to take our pants down. You just undo your zipper, slip a PStyle into place and away you go. It even wipes off the last drops as you remove it. Give it a rinse or pop it into a baggie and you're done with no fuss and no muss. It's handy for hiking, camping, music festivals or peeing your name in the snow. I've tried a lot of brands but this is my favourite. Hell, I even bedazzled all of mine.

Of course I took it to India last year and used it to avoid some unsavoury bathroom situations, which got some of my travelling ladies thinking for this year. Now BL has found some sort of gadget called a GoPee which is a green plastic bit that fits around the whole vulva region and a plastic bag attaches to it. She's excited to try it but it sounds to me like all the worst parts of having to pee magnified 10x. You still have to find some privacy to take your pants down, fit this thing in place, wipe yourself down after and, best of all, you now have a nice warm bag of your own urine to use... as what, a travel pillow? I sincerely wish her all the best with this experiment. I just hope her bag doesn't burst.

Indian bathrooms do take some practice do use properly. The Learning India site does a good breakdown here  and my fave Wilbur Sargunaraj demonstrates very nicely.

I hope the person practices before using this wonderful gadget.

Wilbur is my hero. Very, very clean. I promise to use Eastern Toilet and dipper. That way my bag will not burst!

Good plan, BL. I still hope you understand if, on the sleeper train, I request to not have the bunk directly underneath yours.
